Construction Process

Detail process for epoxy colored sand flooring coating construct. This product consists of two components: a curing agent and a liquid aggregate. The mixing ratio has already been pre-set within the packaging bucket; simply pour the contents together and mix.

  • 1. Substrate Preparation
Concrete floors: Ensure the surface is level and free of dust; the flatness deviation must not exceed 2mm over a 1-meter span. A floor grinder may be used if necessary to level the surface.
Tile floors: Clean thoroughly to remove contaminants, dust, and foreign objects.
  • 2. Intermediate Coating Application
Apply a thin coat of epoxy resin paint or the specialized primer we provide onto the prepared substrate to seal pores and enhance adhesion.
  • 3. Application of Epoxy Colored Sand Flooring
First, estimate the installation area and calculate the required material quantity based on a consumption rate of 1.5 kg per square meter for a 1mm-thick layer. Open the containers and use an electric mixer to thoroughly blend the curing agent and liquid component for 3–4 minutes. Pour the mixture evenly onto the floor and spread it flat with a squeegee, maintaining a thickness of 1mm. After spreading, use a spiked roller to remove air bubbles from the coating. Allow the floor to dry; the surface will be dry to the touch in 8 hours, with full curing achieved in 24 hours.

 Important Notes
Mix only the amount needed for immediate use; the mixture must be applied within 3 hours of blending. Mixing in smaller batches repeatedly helps minimize material waste.
